OVERVIEW
Campus Media Group and online textbook publisher Freeload Press have partnered to offer a solution for students to get their textbooks for free by providing ad-supported E-Textbooks for download. Universities and professors nationwide are embracing this new way of reducing textbook costs for their students. This new advertising channel is growing fast and has opened the door for marketers to reach students in a way that has never existed.

TARGETING
Marketers can target their ads by subject matter (i.e., Math, English, Business, Accounting, etc.), time during the semester, and location within the e-textbook. Targeting by school or location is not available because these books are available and used by multiple schools and students throughout the U.S.
MARKET AVAILABILITY
- Close to 350 universities will be using e-textbooks for some of their courses this Fall. Some universities include Georgetown, Michigan State University, Fordham, Carnegie Mellon, Colorado State, Oregon State and Boston University.
- Nationally, students from roughly 1,700 colleges and universities have downloaded and are using e-textbooks for their studies.
- Nearly 100 course materials/titles are available for students to download. These include text books, text ancillaries, student guides, learning tools, and other educational materials.
TIMING
Those wanting to advertise in textbooks can do so at anytime throughout the school year. Deadlines for ads are usually about 2-weeks before the month you want them to start.
HOW DOES THIS WORK?
College students go to FreeloadPress.com to download their textbooks and other course materials for class. Sometimes textbooks and course materials are required, and some students simply utilize these books for additional sources of information on their area of study. The list of users is growing everyday, giving advertisers additional reach throughout the school year. Here are some screen samples of the site where students download textbooks. Advertising opportunities exist on the download site as well as inside the actual pages of the textbook.

Students go to the free textbook download site to get materials for class. The first step is for them to register their name, contact info, and the school they attend. Online ad opportunities exist on right hand side. |

 |
At some point during their download process students are asked to fill out a brief survey. This survey can be customized with questions about your brand giving you valuable insight to what students think about your product or service. |
